Acorns Resort Spring Festival

Get ready to shake off the winter blues and welcome the sunshine at our Spring Festival Open House! On May 4th, we're transforming our resort into a hub of excitement with a variety of free and affordable activities for everyone. From a bustling flea market to scenic pontoon boat tours and more, come create unforgettable memories with us!

Flea Market, Cornhole & Mural

Event Center Parking Lot

Discover hidden treasures and unique finds at our outdoor flea market! Vendors will showcase everything from resort sale items to handcrafted goods. After browsing goods at the market, head over the the patio to play cornhole or participate in our chalk mural. In the event of inclement weather, the market will move indoors to the event center.

Checkpoint Scavenger Hunt

10:00AM - 4:00PM

Resort Wide

Embark on an adventure across our resort with a scavenger hunt! Teams (or individuals) can register at the office from 10:00AM to 3:00PM to get their passport and rule sheet. When finished, bring your passports back to the office to enter a drawing for fantastic prizes! 

Prizes will be drawn at 5:00PM.

Pontoon Boat Tours

10:00AM - 11:30AM

Boat Docks

Enjoy a relaxing cruise around our side of the lake for a quick trip around the point. On the way you'll see yurts, cabins, wildlife, and more!

Tours are first come, first serve. Visit the boat dock and use our sign-up sheet to secure your spot.

In the event of bad weather like rain or high winds, boat tours may be cancelled for guest safety.

Lunch at The Cove

The Cove Bar & Grill

Fuel up for a day of festival fun at The Cove! From 11:00 to 2:00PM, we're serving up a delicious fried chicken buffet with mashed potatoes and gravy, mac & cheese, green beans and salad.

You can also explore our full menu of mouthwatering dishes including Elk burgers and steaks! It's the perfect way to recharge and get ready for more lakeside fun.

Tours, Job Fair & Mimosas

Milford Lake Event Center & Resort Wide

During this special time, we're opening our doors (literally) for guided and self-guided tours of our most popular accommodations, alongside a relaxed job fair and delightful mimosa bar.

See firsthand the quality of our facilities and staff so you can envision your next vacation, event, or even career here at Acorns Resort! Must be 21+ with a valid ID to participate in the mimosa bar.

Open Kayak or Canoe

12:00PM - 2:30PM

Boat Dock

Paddle your way to fun with our free kayak and canoe sessions! Kayaking and canoeing are great ways to experience nature, reduce stress, and improve your overall mental well-being.

Sign up at the boat dock for a 20 minute paddle - first come, first served. Arrive early to fill out activity waiver.

Festival of Colors

2:30PM - 3:00PM

The Overlook (between The Cove and lake)

Get ready for a burst of color! This celebration of spring, happiness and community starts with applying colorful cornstarch powder to your hands and face before throwing colors in the air with others. 

Please note: for the comfort of all our guests, we ask that you change clothes before entering any buildings after the Festival of Colors.

Yoga

3:00PM - 4:00PM

The Beach

Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and embrace a moment of tranquility with Yoga on the beach! Let the gentle sounds of nature and the calming presence of the lake guide you as you flow through a series of mindful poses with our friends at Wild Unity. 

Arrive by 2:45PM to fill out activity waiver. Bring your own mats or towels.

In the event of inclement weather, yoga will move to the Event Center.

Tequila Tour

4:30PM - 5:00PM
$5 per person
The Beach or Cove Patio

Our knowledgeable guide will lead you through the nuances and complexities of tequila with our curated tasting session. You'll discover 5 distinct 1/2 shot tastings, each carefully selected to showcase the diverse profiles of this beloved spirit.

To ensure a personalized and enjoyable experience, this tour is limited to the first 30 participants who sign up and pay by 4:15pm. Must be 21+ with a valid ID to participate.

All teams and individuals that complete all punches on the Scavenger Hunt passport by 4pm will be entered to win one of several prizes. Guests can also enter to win prizes during our tour open house at select locations.

Name That Tune (70s, 80s & 90s)

The Cove Bar & Grill

It's not your grandma's bingo! Get ready to test your musical memory and groove to the greatest hits of the past at our 'Name That Tune' Music Bingo! Our DJ will play snippets of iconic songs and you'll mark them off on your bingo card. First to bingo wins!

Milford Nature Center

The Milford Nature center is a great place to reconnect with nature and learn more about the plants and animals native to Kansas. Visitors will see native wildlife and be able to feel the pelts of local animals and learn about their prints, calls, and habits. This is a great place for kids to connect with nature.

Rolling Meadows Golf Course

Taking a break from the lake? head over to Rolling meadows Golf Course and play a round of golf. This course is meticulously groomed greens and fairways and offers over 160 acres of play. It's a hidden gem - rated as one of the best courses in all of Kansas!

Live Entertainment

Self -Guided Trail Walk

Enjoy movement and adventure with a guided trail walk on the beautiful Painted Rock Trail (2.5-3 miles). The trail winds around the resort, through the woods, bridges over ravines, along the lake, across a beach and past the Cove. Trail is not suitable for most strollers. Children under 10 must be accompanied by family or friend over the age of 14.

Squirrel Club Scavenger Hunt

Explore the fun at Acorns Resort by snapping a photo of yourself with the “pose of the day” at the locations listed on the treasure map, earn colorful bracelets and after 5 hunts, become a Squirrel Club member (complete with your own mascot). Exciting for all ages!
